What Seasons To Pick For No Knead Sesame Everything Bagel Bread

I have used my go to spices with Trader Joe’s. Of course you know if you have been following me that I am a big fan of Trader Joe’s. Their spices are around $2 to $4 dollars. Honestly how can you go wrong? Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Sesame seasoning blend is fantastic for this recipe but you can find other blends like Everything Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend by SPQR Seasoning or Newman’s Own Everything Bagel Seasoning at Amazon if you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you.

As for the onion salt. I love Trader Joe’s Onion Salt. It has a beautiful blend of granulated onion, granulated garlic, minced onion, kosher salt, green onion and my favorite dried chives. This is a seasoning that I use in a lot of dishes and dips. I do not know what you can use to substitute besides using 1/2 teaspoon of dried onion, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon of dried chives. You may want to make it up for yourself in what your taste is with these spices.

I also use an additional garlic powder but you can use any brand for that. Trader Joe’s garlic powder is exactly that, garlic powder.

How To Make No Knead Sesame Everything Bagel Bread

This is one of those breads that you just honestly throw together. Perfect for when you know company is coming. All of these ingredients should be in your pantry. If you don’t have all the spices just use what you have that are close to the ones listed here and it will still turn out great.

The trick here is that after you add the warm water the dough should be quite sticky. That is how it is supposed to be. Cover it with a towel and place it in a warm spot. The warmest spot is on top of my stove under the hood light. That little light can give off enough heat to help my bread rise. Let the dough rise for 2 1/2 hours.

After the 2 1/2 hours take the dough out of the bowl onto a floured surface and fold the dough over on top of it’s self about 4 times or so. Do not knead it. Put the dough in the prepared bowl with parchment paper let it sit another 30 minutes covered with a towel.

During this 30 minutes of rising put the Dutch oven with the lid on in the oven at 450 degrees (for the 30 minutes that you are waiting for the dough). After 30 minutes take the Dutch oven out of the oven. Take the lid off and lift the dough using the ends of the parchment paper into the pre-heated Dutch oven. Put the lid on. Bake for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes take the Dutch oven back out of the oven and take the lid off. Put it back into the oven and let cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. When done, lift the bread out with the ends of the parchment paper and let cook for about 20 minutes before cutting into.

Cutting The No Knead Sesame Everything Bagel Bread

After the bread has cooled for about 20 minutes put it on a wooden cutting board or your toughest cutting board. You want to use a variegated cutting knife. These knives can cut through your board a little so be mindful when you get through the bread and onto the board.

My favorite variegated bread knife is the Ninja Knife. They are amazing! Love this set of knives. They have a sharpener built into your knife holder. So whenever you need a sharp knife you just put it into the sharpener pull and push it up and down 10 times and presto you have an extremely sharp knife.

This is a great sandwich slicing bread. When cutting the bread you can cut it the long way and have long slices or cut the whole loaf in half and cut off slices the short way. I like to cut it the long way because that way I can just cut them in half if I want smaller pieces of bread. Plus this helps keep the bread moist if I don’t cut it in half. Being that this bread does not have preservatives, it is good to keep this bread in the refrigerator. Wrap it in a plastic bag or large ziplock bag. Should stay fresh for 4 to 5 days. Makes about 10 to 12 slices. Depends how thick you slice it.
